It’s believed that the home theatre experience can never be complete without the Blu-ray DVD player. This is majorly because the Blu-ray DVD player is known for raising the amount of entertainment through High Definition images as well as sounds which are glorious. So just how do you identify the Blu-ray DVD that’s most suitable for you? It must be understood that simply like other DVD players in the marketplace, blue ray DVD players have assorted features while some may need additional accessories hence choosing the right player is deemed to become an important stage. So just what do you need to consider when finding a suitable Blu-ray DVD player which will match up your house entertainment? to begin with, it is important to ensure that it is hd at 1080p. if you are familiar with the HDTV, you’ll learn the 1080p refers back to the highest resolution for video available. Right now, the Blu-ray players are thought to be the best sources of this sort of resolution. in fact, not even our prime definition TV broadcasts are able to compete with the images that are generated through the Blu-ray player which are stunning.

I bought the BDVE300 to go with a Sony 52Z5100 HDTV that I also bought from Amazon. I bought it mainly because I wanted to match the two items for both esthetic and practical reasons. The black speakers match the TV perfectly. I can also control both with one controller and easily run the TV sound through the HTS.
I am not an audiophile. So I didn't try to compare technical specs. This review is strictly subjective (in part to counter the one above) and is based on what I have heard while using the system with the TV.

I have a Sony flat screen TV that I bought last Christmas. It's not an HDTV but has good sound and picture. Will I be able to use a Blue Ray DVD player?
You can, but like you were wondering, it won't have the full effect. HDTVs have more lines (like computer screens with higher dot pitch etc…) of resolution. You will get a good picture but no better than a regular DVD.

Sometimes you just don’t want all of your electronics stacked up right next to your HDTV. maybe you’ve mounted your flat screen on a nice, clean wall, and you’d rather not have a Blue-ray player, a cable box, and a game system sitting under it, ruining the aesthetic. Unfortunately, those components require physical cables to connect to your HDTV, so you have to either deal with the clutter or prepare for some wall-drilling to hide your cables and keep your devices far away. Fortunately, the Vizio XWH200 Universal Wireless HD Video & Audio Kit fixes this problem. While you still need (short) cables to run from the different pieces of the kit to your components, it basically renders your HDTV and various video sources wireless, connecting them through radio waves that effectively act like HDMI cables. At $229.99 (direct) it’s not a cheap solution, but it’s a handy way to keep your HDTV free of all but one tiny cable.

Kool-Aid. while it may be the favorite drink of millions, it was something that I never really warmed up to as a child. Never really liked the taste; my seven-year-old taste buds preferred the burn of Vernor’s Ginger Ale and Brio Chinotto. when adults speak of drinking the Kool-Aid, it has a completely different meaning and it is rarely a good one.

I would like to connect my blu-ray Samsung BD-P1600 (single HDMI output) to my Vizio HDTV directly via hdmi to get the improved video processing vs. my receiver (Pioneer 919) while still able to connect via HDMI to get true hd audio on my receiver. I see all kinds of hdmi splitters but they seem to be for some other purpose (ie connecting single video source to 2 tv's). would these work (well) to get audio on my receiver and video on my tv? is there another solution other than using optical for audio?
